Brazilian executives analyse Mozambique’s business climate   [ 2009-11-10 ]


Maputo, Mozambique, 10 Nov - A delegation of Brazilian company chiefs will participate in a business conference in Maputo from 18-19 November, Danubio Lado, assistant director of the Centre for Investment Promotion (CPI), told Macauhub.

The Brazilian agriculture and manufacturing sector executives will also visit a Mozambican sugar refinery.

The manufacturing sector business leaders will discuss the possible supply of goods and equipment to sugar refineries, ethanol distilleries and the biofuels production sector, Lado said.

The 20 Brazilian agricultural executives, part of a group of 90 visiting Mozambique, South Africa and Angola, will evaluate possible supply of technology for sugar cane and biofuels production.

The Maputo government has approved biofuel investments in Gaza and Manica provinces valued at over US$ 1 billion. (macauhub)
