Portuguese construction group Soares da Costa to sign off 5-star hotel in Luanda, Angola

Lisbon, Portugal, 2 Feb – Portuguese construction company Soares da Costa is due to hand over the Sana Luanda Royal Hotel, which will be inaugurated on 4 February, the company said in a statement issued in Lisbon.

Construction of the Sana Luana Royal Hotel, which has a five-star classification, cost US$51 million.

The hotel, according to the construction company’s statement, is made up of “a 22-storey tower with 219 double rooms (including 3 presidential suites), four restaurants, two bars, an indoor pool, a congress centre with a banqueting hall, green areas and outdoor pool.”

On 21 December, 2011 Soares da Costa announced it had been awarded the tender for construction of a shopping centre in Luanda for US$62.7 million.

At the end of the third quarter of 2011, the construction company has a portfolio of orders worth US$634 million in Angola. (macauhub)
