Luanda, Angola, 28 Dec – Angolan drinks company Empresa Nacional de Bebidas (Refriango) has said that it will end 2011 with production of 2 million litres of drinks and sales rising 20 percent against 2010.
According to Angolan weekly newspaper Expansão Refriango expects to increase its sales in 2012 by around 40 percent as a result of a second factory going into operation, which will give the company a total installed capacity of 1 billion litres per yearOfficials from the company said that after internationalisation of its products in Portugal, Namibia and Benin this year, Mozambique, Cape Verde and South Africa would be the next potential export markets in 2012 where it planned to sell 2 million litres of drinks.
Meanwhile Refriango presented a new product called Tutti Múcua made from the fruit of the baobab tree and which ahs six times more vitamin C than oranges and twice as much calcium as milk. Some 40,000 boxes of the drink have already been produced, the fruits for which is imported from Senegal. (macauhub)
