Brazilian undersea cable project includes Angola and Cape Verde

Sao Paulo, Brazil, 30 Nov – The Brazilian project for construction of a network of undersea telecommunications table includes a direct link with Angola and will also pass by Cape Verde according to information from the Brazilian Communications Ministry.

Initial plans, drawn up by Telebrás, outline that the cables will leave the Brazilian city of Fortaleza and go to North America, via the Caribbean.

The link will have two branches, “one that will link Brazil directly to Europe, passing through Cape Verde, and one directly [to Africa], probably arriving in Angola,” the Ministry’s press office said. (macauhub)
