Luanda, Angola, 21 Oct – The Angolan economy has shown great vitality, which is very clear from indicators such as its gross domestic product (GDP) and foreign direct investment (FDI), the chairman of Deloitte Angola, Rui Santos Silva said Thursday in Luanda.
Speaking to Angolan news agency Angop, Santos Silva said that private investment had become increasingly relevant, and that Angolan economic groups had been set up, which were the drivers of development in the country as well as a considerable number of economic agents.
This reality, Santos added whilst speaking about preparations for the Sirius Awards ceremony, was giving rise to a class of managers and a vast array of business owners and qualified professionals who are creating wealth for the country.
Alongside this, he said, the State business sector and public administration services were starting to be modernised.
The Sirius Awards, which will distinguish companies and managers and will be awarded for the first time this year, are annual awards given out by consulting company Deloitte Angola. (macauhub)
